From white light to dynamic effects

The Newell RGB Kathi Effect LED lamp offers three operating modes that allow you to tailor the lighting to various applications:

• CCT – white light with a color temperature of 2700 K, 4000 K, or 6500 K,
• RGB – 15 preset colors for creating colorful accents, backgrounds, and creative lighting,
• FX – 36 dynamic light animations that will add variety to your videos and photos or decorate your room, workspace, or studio.

With such a wide selection, the lamp can illuminate a face or product, add colorful accents to a shot, create a colorful background, or become part of the set design.

36 special effects

Sometimes all it takes is light to give a calm shot a completely different character. The Newell RGB Kathi Effect LED lamp offers as many as 36 preset animations—from rainbow effects and alternating color changes, through colorful sequences, to various flash and strobe variations. You can use them in the background, to illuminate the set, or to add extra movement to the frame. The speed control, in turn, lets you decide whether the light should change subtly or become one of the main elements of the shot.

Light that dances to the beat of the music

Turn on the music, and the light will start to follow its rhythm. Among the 36 FX modes offered by the Newell RGB Kathi Effect LED lamp, you’ll find 3 that use the built-in microphone and react to ambient sounds. You don’t have to manually switch effects for the light to change in time with the music. This feature is perfect for recording music videos, performances, and dance videos, as well as for parties, live streams, or as decorative lighting.

Color Changes Everything

Want to highlight the background, create a striking contrast, or completely change the character of a shot? The Newell RGB Kathi Effect LED lamp offers 15 preset RGB colors that you can select using a button on the housing. You can use them in portraits and product photography, while recording video, and whenever you want to dramatically illuminate a set, room, studio, or streaming setup.

Adjust the light to the scene

CCT mode offers three white light settings: warm 2700 K, neutral 4000 K, and cool 6500 K. This allows you to adjust the lighting to match the nature of the shot, the mood of the scene, or other light sources in the room.

Accurate color reproduction

Creative effects are just one aspect of the Newell RGB Kathi Effect LED lamp. In white light mode, the high CRI of ≥95 ensures accurate color reproduction, which is particularly important when photographing or filming people and products. You’ll especially appreciate this for portraits and beauty shots, where the natural appearance of skin, makeup, and cosmetic colors matters most.

Magnetic Mount

A metal element of the set design or set structure can become a mounting point for the Newell RGB Kathi Effect in just a few seconds. Built-in magnets allow you to quickly attach the device to a suitable surface and give you greater freedom when arranging your lighting. It’s the perfect solution when you want to place a light source in an unusual spot or when space doesn’t allow for a tripod.

Mounting on a Tripod or Arm

The Newell RGB Kathi Effect LED lamp is also equipped with two 1/4” threads —one at each end of the housing. These allow for mounting on a tripod, bracket, or arm, giving you greater flexibility when positioning the light relative to the scene you’re photographing or filming.

Creative handheld use

The elongated shape of the Newell RGB Kathi Effect LED light is perfect for light painting. By moving it during a long exposure, you can create colorful streaks, lines, and light patterns in your photos. Its light weight (380 g) makes it easy to maneuver, and the included wrist strap provides extra protection against accidental drops.

Built-in 4000 mAh battery

The built-in 4000 mAh battery allows you to use the Newell RGB Kathi Effect LED light without constant access to a power source. You can freely reposition it, use the magnetic mount, or work outdoors without cables getting in the way. At maximum brightness, the battery provides approximately 1.5 hours of runtime.

Use While Charging

A drained battery doesn’t have to mean a break in your work. You can power the Newell RGB Kathi Effect LED light via the USB-C port and use it even while it’s charging. Simply connect a compatible USB charger, power bank, or computer to extend the runtime during longer photo sessions, video shoots, or live streams.

Not Just for Photos and Videos

The Newell RGB Kathi Effect LED light isn’t just for the photo shoot set. RGB colors, dynamic animations, and battery power allow you to use it as a set design element or decorative interior lighting. Depending on the selected mode and setup, the light can be used for:

• portrait and beauty photography,
• photographing products and small objects,
• recording vlogs, music videos, and content for social media,
• streaming and setting up a gaming setup,
• creating colorful backgrounds and highlighting set design elements,
• parties, events, performances, and dance videos,
